🤠 FUN SIDE PROJECTS!

Crooked Wine Company

I help run a small vineyard and natural wine company with my husband in Bend, Oregon. We farm 3+ acres of grapes and make around 100+ cases of natural wine a year.

CX Mascara Mag

Together with a few of my Meta teammates, we created 3 volumes of a 100+ page zine highlighting the amazing creative side projects the talented members of our team were doing. It was a great way to showcase all of the cool talent on our team as well as learn more about the coworkers we weren’t seeing in the office as we were all remote.

I went to Cannes

TBWA/Media Arts Lab sponsored me so I could attend the week-long Cannes Young Lions Storytelling Academy in the summer of 2014. The Academy was led by Keith Reinhard, Chairman Emeritus of DDB Worldwide (who coincidentally was my uncles creative partner when they wrote the Empire Carpet man Jingle at DDB).

In addition to drinking way too much rosé and being scared to spend my full per-diem (my first work trip), I gained in-depth knowledge on the art and craft of storytelling and its importance in the digital age. I was lucky enough to have small group discussions with some of the biggest keynote speakers at the festival.

I Ghostwrite for my dog

But please do not tell his hundreds of followers it's not him behind the keys.

Not only has this profile gained Walter tons of internet followers but it has helped to connect him (and me) to the people in our little Venice community. Walter gets a haircut and trust me, there will be chatter amongst boardwalk dwellers.

I wrote a DIY column

In the early 2020’s, at the height of the lifestyle blog era, I used to moonlight as a DIY columnist on The Effortless Chic lifestyle blog.

I taught English in Thailand

Right after college graduation, I had an itch to live abroad, with no corporate work experience the easiest way to do that was to teach English. I did a month-long training program on the small remote island of Koh Kood after which I was placed as a teacher in a school approx. 1 hour west of Bangkok. I learned how much more we should pay teachers, a lot about myself and became a pretty good SE Asia backpacker.
